about

We all know that punk is sick - proof lies in the fact that you're on this page. One of the coolest things about punk is that no matter what country you live in or language you speak, the attitude and energy translate perfectly well around the world. From the US to Indonesia, from Colombia to France, we all feel that instinct to slam, worm, and thrash when that hard-ass punk shit plays.

Síndrome de Abstinencia and Niño Viejo are two of those hard-ass bands that have managed to capture a bit of that energy in the best way possible: live. These bands, hailing from Antofagasta, Chile, serve up two different twists of punk: one is a steady shot of Latin American punk done right, the other gives short, gut-wrenching bursts of raw power. Both sets showcase the heat brought by bomb-ass Chilean punk, and the tracks are accompanied by beautiful photos taken at the show by Samuel Girón.

Live music is sick. SxA and Niño Viejo are sick. Punk is sick. Do the sick thing, peep this tape.
