Sit down and listen up: OP#29 is a doozy. Lengua Salvaje is a three-piece from Chicago that has been praised by people from all corners of the DIY scene due to their raw talent, sound, energy, and versatile take on punk and grind. Lengua's line-up is a bit more unconventional than other bands currently making noise in the Windy City: the band is comprised of a drummer, vocalist, and a guitarist. To access the low-end that is so necessary for music of their style, the guitarist plays through an octave pedal. However, one shouldn't let this inhibition in variability fool them: low- and mid-ranges provided by their guitar are wonderfully complimented by the passionate, higher-ended vocals. When combined with the breakneck speeds and wonderfully-executed tempo changes presented by the drummer, the listener is trucked by an audible force akin to a steam engine wobbling on its rails at full throttle. Lengua Salvaje doesn't just spark the hate flowing through you: it smashes the dams built within the mind, allowing pure rage to fill your core for the duration of this brilliant tape.

There's no sleeping on this one: these six tracks will shake you awake and peel your crusty lil' peepers open.
